Reflexology in Sherborne Dorset and SomersetI trained as a nurse at St Mary's Hospital in London in the early seventies. After having my family I retrained in Personnel Management and worked in this area for 14 years specialising in Health & Safety. I have always had a special interest in complementary therapies. Therefore,on returning to the West Country, I decided to study Reflexology at Yeovil College. I qualified in 1996. During this time I worked with the elderly in a residential home and then in ward administration at Yeovil District Hospital in Somerset. I have practised as a Clinical Reflexologist in Sherborne at Glencairn House Clinic, since 1997. The Clinic is well established in Dorset as a Complementary Therapy centre. I attend as many post-graduate courses as possible to keep myself informed on techniques and associated subjects. I have also trained in Indian Head Massage and Bach Flower Remedies, as well as Menopausal Advice at Yeovil Well Women Centre and Working with People with Cancer at Bristol Cancer Help Centre for Complementary Therapists. I am fully insured for all the therapies and I am a registered member of the Association of Reflexologists The Complementary Therapy Practice is in Sherborne and within easy reach of Yeovil and Wincanton also close to the A303. Towns and villages to the South e.g Cerne Abbas and Dorchester are within 1/2 hours drive. I have considerable experience in treating conditions such as stress, menopausal and premenstrual problems, migraines and headaches, muscular and skeletal pain, digestive problems, sleep disorders and circulatory problems. By effective use of reflexology, I have supported many clients through relationship problems, through cancer treatments and through work related stress issues. I also practice Reflexology near Sherborne in my own home to give some flexibility with hours for those working. |
